Sandy Oyler, MSW, LCSW

Director of Counseling Programs

Sandy Oyler serves as the Director of Counseling Services at our Wheaton and Warrenville locations, where she provides leadership and strategic direction to the clinical team. She brings nearly 30 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, supporting clients of all ages through life’s challenges. She has especially enjoyed working with women navigating transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and issues of faith and spirituality. Sandy earned her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago and her bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College.
Sandy is currently not accepting new clients.

Tony Kokalj, MA, LCPC

Senior Therapist/Clinical Supervisor

Tony is the Senior Therapist/Clinical Supervisor at Outreach Counseling Center Wheaton and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 17 years of diverse mental health experience.

Tony’s personal journey of faith and resilience has shaped his passion for integrating clinical expertise with Christian principles. A creative problem solver, he effectively navigates complex challenges while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Since joining Outreach, Tony has made an immediate impact, overseeing the crisis intervention team and supporting at-risk youth. His vision for Outreach Wheaton is to strengthen its reputation for quality counseling and crisis care by developing best practices, standards, and procedures.

His dedication, compassionate leadership, and crisis management skills are deeply valued as he continues to enhance Outreach’s mission.

Heather Anderson, MA, LCPC

Senior Therapist, Associate Director of CCBYS

Heather Anderson, LCPC, is the Associate Director of Comprehensive Community-Based Youth Services (CCBYS) and a Senior Therapist at Outreach Wheaton. A licensed clinician since 1996, she holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wheaton College.

Heather specializes in individual, family, group, and couples therapy, with expertise in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She takes a relational CBT approach, using practical, creative, and results-oriented strategies to help clients navigate life transitions, parenting, depression, anxiety, ADHD, IEPs, and grief.

Committed to fostering growth and resilience, Heather empowers clients to make healthy changes and deepen self-awareness.

Outside of therapy, she enjoys crocheting, knitting, gardening, cooking, and baking.

Nancy (Shengmei) Spigelmyre, MA, LMFT

Youth and Family Therapist

Nancy (Shengmei) Spigelmyre, LMFT, is a Youth and Family Therapist at Outreach Wheaton. She earned her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College in 2017 and has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2019.

Nancy specializes in individual, family, group, and couples therapy, with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couple and Family Therapy and certification as a Prepare and Enrich facilitator. She takes a people-centered, systemic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed approach, creating a safe space for clients to explore family dynamics, relationship trauma, and attachment patterns.

Believing in the power of secure relationships for healing, Nancy helps clients build stronger connections. In her free time, she enjoys nature, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Alvin Mathew, MA, LPC

Youth and Family Therapist

Alvin Mathew, LPC, is a Youth and Family Therapist at Outreach Wheaton. He holds a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College and a bachelor’s from Luther W. New Jr. Theological College in India. He provides individual and family therapy in both acute mental health settings and schools.

Alvin specializes in working with children and adolescents facing challenges such as suicidal and homicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality issues, conduct disorders, and family conflicts. Using an Adlerian psychotherapy approach, he considers each client’s unique context—family, culture, school, and values—to support their journey toward self-improvement.

His empathetic style fosters a safe space for clients to explore challenges and achieve meaningful growth.

Gabrielle Winbush, MA

Transitional Housing Therapist

Gabrielle Winbush is a Transitional Housing Therapist at Outreach Wheaton. She earned her MS from Alverno College and her undergraduate degree from Marquette University. Currently a pre-licensure staff member, she specializes in individual, family, and group therapy, with a focus on complex trauma and life transitions.

Gabrielle takes a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, meeting clients where they are and guiding them toward their goals. Passionate about helping others, she provides empathetic support to those navigating their healing journeys.

Outside of her work, Gabrielle enjoys traveling and exploring new foods.

Sarita Buck

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Sarita is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wheaton College. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Judson University.

She is excited for the opportunity to bring her growing skills to Outreach and serve the community. Sarita helps clients explore and define their unique goals so they can move deeper into a life they love. She is interested in helping others navigate periods of change and feelings of sorrow, shame, or fear. Her approach is integrative, and she creates a secure environment that helps clients discover new insight within their current situation. She offers individual and couples counseling to clients in all stages across the life span.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking and watching sports.

Jessica Joel

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern

Jessica Joel is a Counseling Intern at Outreach Counseling Center in Wheaton and a Clinical Mental Health Counseling student at Wheaton College. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature from St. John’s College, India, and has six years of experience with a Medical Association’s Community and Health Development Program in northern India, supporting psychosocial resilience in marginalized communities.

Jessica takes a trauma-informed, client-centered, and emotionally focused approach to therapy. Her clinical interests include trauma recovery, anxiety, and attachment-related concerns. She is passionate about walking alongside individuals through pain and healing, helping them reconnect with inner strength and resilience, by fostering a safe, hopeful space for growth and transformation. She is committed to honoring each client’s story with dignity and compassion.

Outside of counseling, Jessica enjoys hiking, exploring nature trails, and reading.

Rebecca DeRenzo

Office Manager

Rebecca DeRenzo is the Office Manager at Outreach Wheaton, where she plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the counseling center.

She values the opportunity to serve Christ and others through her work and appreciates the supportive and dedicated team at Outreach Wheaton.

Rebecca’s commitment to ensuring smooth administrative processes helps the staff provide high-quality care to clients in need.
