Aimee Maas, MSW, LCSW, CAAP

Counseling Program Director, Animal Assisted Therapist

Aimee Maas, LCSW, is the Program Director at Outreach Counseling Center Carol Stream. She holds an MSW from Washington University in St. Louis and a CAAP in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy from Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado.

Aimee specializes in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy, incorporating her therapy dog, Paddington, to create a safe and supportive space for clients. Her therapeutic focus includes grief and loss, perinatal mood disorders, and complex trauma for children and adults.

Beyond her clinical work, Aimee is involved in crisis response and volunteer ministry through Canines for Christ. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, spending time with her family, and participating in worship at her local church.

Victor Antonio Argo, LMFT, BCN

Senior Therapist

Victor Antonio Argo, LMFT, is a Senior Therapist at Outreach Counseling Carol Stream. He holds a BA from Moody Bible Institute and an MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1995.

Victor specializes in individual, family, group, and couples therapy, with expertise in neurofeedback and trauma. He is board-certified in neurofeedback (BCN) and trained in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).

His personal journey through trauma, pain, and healing inspires his work, allowing him to bring hope and wisdom to those navigating their own healing journeys.

Inae So, MA, ATR

Youth and Family Therapist

Inae So is a Youth and Family Therapist at Outreach Counseling Center Carol Stream. She holds a BA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MA from Adler University in Chicago. She is a registered art therapist (ATR) and completed training in Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART) in 2022, focusing on complex trauma in children and adolescents.

Inae specializes in helping individuals navigate life transitions, including immigration, career changes, grief, and aging. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and trauma. With a background in Art & Design, she uses Art Therapy to help clients increase emotional awareness and self-expression.

In her free time, Inae enjoys playing instruments, painting, and cooking.

Hannah Kim, ALMFT

Youth and Family Therapist

Hannah Kim, is a Youth and Family Therapist at Outreach Counseling Center Carol Stream. She holds a BA in Psychology and Communication from the University of Washington and an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College. A pre-licensure staff member, she earned her Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (ALMFT) credential in 2024.

Hannah provides family, individual, and couples therapy, supporting clients through trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and relational conflicts. She embraces a thoughtful, patient approach, helping clients navigate the challenges of therapy as a journey of growth, compassion, and understanding.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys exploring nature trails, watching movies, and catching up with friends.

Leah Regester, MA

Youth and Family Therapist

Leah Regester is a Youth and Family Therapist at Outreach Counseling Center Carol Stream. She holds a BS in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Northeastern University in Boston and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College, as well as a Trauma Certificate from Wheaton College. She is currently pursuing licensure.

Leah has experience working with adolescents, adults, older adults, and families facing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal challenges, and concerns around identity development. She brings a strong value for curiosity and acceptance to her work, collaborating with clients to explore the complexity of their stories and pursue growth.

Beyond her work, Leah enjoys reading and writing, encountering animals, and being with loved ones.

Grace Carlson, LPC, NCC

Therapist and Crisis Intervention Program Coordinator

Grace Carlson is a Youth and Family Therapist at Outreach Counseling. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College and an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Neuroscience certificate. Currently a pre-licensure staff member, she brings strong expertise to her role.

Grace specializes in individual, family, group, and couples therapy, with training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Spiritual First Aid. She also holds a Trauma Certificate from Wheaton College. She addresses a range of mental health challenges, including trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, couples’ concerns, adolescent issues, identity, adoption, and school-related challenges.

Her holistic, person-centered approach tailors therapy to each client’s beliefs, values, and circumstances. In her free time, Grace enjoys baking, crafting, and spending time with loved ones.

Brian Post, PsyD, LCP

Clinical Supervisor

Brian Post, PsyD, serves as a clinical supervisor at Outreach, where he supports and trains graduate-level interns. He does not provide direct clinical services at Outreach.

Dr. Post is a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience in assessment, therapy, supervision, and teaching. He earned his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and brings expertise in individual and couples therapy—including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)—as well as psychological assessments for diagnostic clarification, bariatric surgery, adoption, and ministry preparation.

Outside of work, he enjoys meaningful conversations and supporting personal growth.

Michelle Marxen, MA, MBA

Advanced Doctoral Extern

Michelle Marxen is an Advanced Doctoral Extern currently completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College. She holds a MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and an MA in Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

Michelle provides individual, marriage, and family therapy, as well as psychological testing. She enjoys working with clients navigating complex trauma, mood disorders, emotional disturbances, relationship challenges, and conflicts involving morality and spirituality.

Her therapeutic approach is insight-oriented and grounded in a psychodynamic framework. With an international upbringing, Michelle is particularly attuned to how cultural context shapes thoughts, behaviors, and emotional experiences.

Michelle is supervised by Dr. Brian Post (psychotherapy) and Dr. Jessica Jensen (psychological testing).

Vernice Barrimond, MA

Doctoral Extern

Vernice Barrimond is a Doctoral Extern at Outreach. She earned her BA in Psychology from The Ohio State University and her MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, where she is pursuing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD).

Vernice provides individual therapy and psychological assessments, working with individuals and couples navigating trauma, life transitions, neurodivergence, identity, interpersonal concerns, and spirituality. Her approach is trauma-informed, relational, and rooted in cultural humility. She conducts comprehensive, neurodiversity-affirming assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, focusing on autism, ADHD, and learning differences. Vernice’s strengths-based assessments support insight and empowerment.

Outside of therapy, she enjoys traveling, exploring hobbies, meaningful conversations, and time with loved ones.

Vernice is supervised by Dr. Jessica Marshall.

Athena Quinn, MA

CACTC Doctoral Intern

Athena is currently completing her Psy.D. at The Chicago School and holds a master’s in clinical psychology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in sociology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Athena offers individual, family, group, and couples therapy, along with psychological testing. She has had training working with clients navigating a range of life experiences that includes grief and loss, faith and spirituality, depression, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, eating concerns, and self-harm.

Athena’s approach is client-centered, grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a belief in each person’s capacity to grow and create meaningful change. She strives to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered. In her free time, Athena enjoys playing badminton, cooking, and spending time with family.

Athena is supervised by Dr. Jessica Marshall (psychological testing) and Dr. Brian Post (psychotherapy).

Emily Yee

Counseling Intern

Emily Yee is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Outreach Counseling Center Carol Stream. She holds a BA from Princeton University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. A pre-licensure candidate, Emily is currently pursuing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wheaton College.

Emily provides individual, family, and couples therapy, supporting clients with anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, identity formation challenges, life transitions, and complex trauma. Emily’s person-centered approach honors each client’s resilience and draws on their strengths as they move toward meaningful change.
In her free time, Emily enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking in nature, and cooking.

Ann Wakeman

Office Manager, Clinical Program Assistant, and CACTC Program Assistant

Ann Wakeman is the Office Manager, Clinical Program Assistant, and CACTC Program Assistant at Outreach Counseling Center-Carol Stream. She has a B.S. from Indiana University and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in their Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program with a K-8 certification.

Ann brings strong administrative expertise to her role, holding Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Word and Excel. She is also a member of the Student Excellence Foundation board.
Passionate about Outreach’s mission, Ann values her coworkers—and, of course, Paddington, the therapy dog! Her dedication supports the smooth operation of clinical and training programs at Outreach.

Outside of work, Ann enjoys spending time with her three sons (usually on a soccer field) and being involved in her community.

Melody Mathieu

Receptionist

Melody Mathieu is a Receptionist, where she warmly welcomes clients and supports the team with administrative tasks, including answering calls, entering data, scoring tests, and general office duties.

She is passionate about Outreach’s mission, believing in the transformative impact of providing resources that help individuals heal and grow into their God-given potential. She also values the kindness and professionalism of the staff, who dedicate their skills to serving clients.

In addition to her role at Outreach, Melody works as an Administrative Assistant at a church. She is active in a Women’s Bible study and enjoys spending time outdoors and gathering with family and friends.
